Tricor Ten Section HubAs the Western U.S. begins to implement energy policy objectives that reduce carbon emissions and increase renewable portfolios and energy efficiencies, significant amounts of surplus natural gas and natural gas storage infrastructure in the West will be needed to satisfy peak day demand draws and meet minimum baseload electrical generation requirements. Renewable resources such as solar and wind that deliver electricity are inversely correlated to utilities’ peaking periods. Therefore, as the U.S. begins to convert coal fired generation over to renewables, natural gas fired generation must be there to cover the demand. Because natural gas is the clean burning “bridge fuel” to the next generation, greater reliance is being placed in the West on building new high speed natural gas storage. Tricor Ten Section Hub’s 32.5 Bcf high speed facility has over 4 Bcf of Western interstate and intrastate pipeline Hub optionality. Our facility will allow customers more flexibility to adjust to seasonal and baseload volitility, thus providing better gas pricing for the storing of natural gas. Tricor Ten Section Hub, LLC is ready to embrace this challenge, make a difference and, therefore, meet surging natural gas demand. |
